ELMBRIDGE CAN WELCOMES NEW VOLUNTEERS

4 February 2017
Elmbridge CAN held its first volunteer information evening on 25 January at St Mary's Church, East Molesey.

People from Elmbridge and the surrounding areas joined the Elmbridge CAN team to find out more about our work, upcoming projects and how they could get involved.

Elmbridge CAN co-founder, Jeannie Tweedie, said:

“It was great to meet so many people interested in joining our team and helping refugees in and around Elmbridge. We’re delighted that as a result of this event, we now have a new Social Media Volunteer, an extra pair of hands to help with our Bikes for Refugees project (which we hope to launch soon) and people offering direct support to the refugees we work with.”

We’re still looking for volunteers with experience in education, finance and fundraising. If you have a couple of hours a week to spare and would like to volunteer, please contact us. Or find out more about volunteering with Elmbridge CAN.
